Hany Osman is the Founder and Managing Director of Subsurface Insight, a specialist consultancy focused on unlocking value from subsurface data through digital transformation and advanced geoscience workflows. With over 23 years of global experience in the energy sector, Hany has established a strong reputation for delivering innovative, high-impact solutions across subsurface data management, integration, and reservoir characterisation.
Throughout his career, Hany has led complex, large-scale data transformation initiatives, enabling organisations to modernise legacy systems, enhance data quality, and drive more informed decision-making. His expertise spans multi-disciplinary subsurface workflows, cloud-based technologies, and the application of AI to improve geoscience interpretation and operational efficiency.
Prior to founding Subsurface Insight, Hany held senior roles within leading industry organisations, working closely with major operators including Shell, ENI, and CNOOC. He has successfully delivered projects across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, building a diverse international track record.
Hany is also an active contributor to industry thought leadership, regularly participating in international conferences and panel discussions on digital transformation in subsurface workflows. Through Subsurface Insight, he is committed to helping clients maximise the value of their data assets, drive innovation, and navigate the evolving energy landscape with confidence.
Ahmed Gawhari is the Operations Manager at Subsurface Insight, where he oversees the day-to-day delivery of projects and ensures the smooth execution of the company’s services. With a strong focus on operational excellence, Ahmed plays a key role in coordinating resources, streamlining workflows, and maintaining high standards of quality across all engagements. He is also responsible for discussing and presenting the company’s services, following up on concluded agreements, and working to enhance the value and quality of these agreements in support of the company’s objectives and client relationships.
